Welcome to the website, which is intended for all those who are looking for information about the accessibility of facilities in public use for the disabled (i.e., persons with impaired movement, the blind and partially sighted, and the deaf and hard of hearing). The website is managed by the Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia.

The GUIDE menu presents detailed information on the accessibility of facilities in public use at the time of their assessment. The assessment of accessibility is performed on the basis of Slovenian legislation and relevant regulations and standards.

The COMMENT menu provides a forum aimed at mobilizing people with disabilities and the general public to actively participate in removing built environment and communication barriers. The online forum enables disabled people and other people to report existing barriers in the built environment, as well as those that may be in creation (e.g., during new construction). Forum visitors can also ask questions and cooperate with constructive initiatives in the field of accessibility of facilities in public use.

State of inspected facilities in public use

For many years, the Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia has been performing the task of assessing the accessibility of facilities in public use throughout the entire territory of the country. Due to the piecemeal nature of the process, the data base continues to be gradually expanded with new information on accessibility, as soon as a particular facility is inspected.
